Repetit (homeopathic repertory) is a database program for searching for homeopathic medicine by entering Symptoms and cardinal symptoms (boolean search possible!)
New! Autoselect Search: Only those symptoms are shown that fit to the selected medicaments. If "automatic selection", "automatic query" und "query: on" is selected in the symptoms window, then only those medicaments are shown, that fit to the search made in the medicaments-window.
No medicine data is published as I have not found any data without Copyright. If you know any database or book with medicine data please write me an E-Mail: email@example.com .
Here you can see the remedies. By double-clicking on a medicine-node you can see its description. In the tree you can see the symptoms and cardinal symptoms of each remedy. With a right click you can edit each node. You can move symptoms by drag & drop or copy them from the symptoms-window to the main window by drag & drop. If you open a new window you can also copy symptoms by drag & drop.
You can see this menu if you click on <File>
Opens a new window with another database. Symptoms and medicine can be copied by drag & drop.
Opens a new database. The database must have the repetit-format.
Imports a database in the repetit-format into an already open database. Entries can be combined or replaced.
Analyse shows the number of medicaments, symptoms and cardinal symptoms in the database.
Here you can edit the actual language file or open a new one and import it.
empty database: All data is erased. In order to physically erase the data you must compact the database (not included).
test data: you can insert an arbitrary number of test data. If you insert more than 1000 remedies the program gets a bit slow!
As the database is loaded into an in memory cache of data it must be saved on exit and before you make queries (if you want to include new data in the query). If you make changes the program asks you to save the data on exit.
Prints the actually shown medicine on one page. Depending on the page setup there can be more or less on the page than on the screen (s. page preview)
Here you can adjust margins and paper size.
Shows a preview.
You can get this menu both by clicking on <Edit> and by a right click on a node in the treeview.
Depending on the selected node you can see more or less menus. If you select <add> you can add a medicine, a cardinal symptom or a symptom. If you select a medicine the symptoms-window is shown and you can add symptoms by drag & drop.
If you select the database (top node) then after a right click click on add, you can add a new medicament.
If you click on <cardinal symptoms> or on a cardinal symptoms with the right button, you can add a cardinal symptoms. In the list you can see the symptoms starting with the text you entered. If you click on <EDIT>, you can edit a cardinal symptom. For saving your edit you must click on <update>.
If you right click on <symptoms>, a body part or on a symptom, you can add a symptoms. Depending on the selected body part the symptoms of each body part are shown. As soon as you enter a symptom only the symptoms starting with this text are shown. If you don't select a body part the body part is set to <_undefined>. If you click <edit> you can edit a symptom. Click on <update> to save changes.
If you right click on the database an then on refresh, the data is reloaded from the database. This is especially good if errors occur.
By clicking on <add> you add the selected medicament to the selected folder. In the same way <add folder> adds a folder to the selected level. If you want to add a subfolder you must open the superior folder and then click on <add folder>. Accordingly you can add a medicament to a folder by clicking on it and then pressing inside this folder on <add>. If you click on a medicament the corresponding node in the tree view is shown. By right-clicking on an entry you get the following menu:
You can remove an existing entry or rename an entry (only folders). The name of the selected favorite is shown in the title bar.
The symptoms window is shown. You can change symptoms, make searches and add symptoms by drag & drop to the medicaments.
This menu opens a window into which you can enter new medicine or paste medicine descriptions from another source. You must tag medicaments, cardinal symptoms, body parts and descriptions by the following tags: ***** tags a medicine, **** a description, *** a cardinal symptom, ** a body part and * a symptom. A new medicine would look like this:
If you have finished entering data you must click on <import>. Attention! Wrong tags make wrong entries in the database (esp. wrong body parts). After importing the data you should check the new entries in the database and only then save the data.
Now you can tag bodyparts with +**. In this case the last bodypart is the main category and the tagged bodypart is the subcategory. In the treeview this will be shown as "maincategory: subcategory". With -** you get back to the last category and with -- to ----- you get back up to five categories.
Here you can open a file in UTF-8 format or in the windows-text-format. The text is inserted into the window.
This window is only shown in the main window ("Main 0"). You can show open windows by a click and close all windows.
This menu is only active in a subordinate window. By clicking on it the main window ("Main 0") is shown.in 0") angezeigt.
The text search is both most versatile as simple. You can enter search words (separated by spaces) and the program searches for medicaments containing all words or as many as possible. You can select whether the searches are among the cardinal symptoms, the symptoms or the descriptions (just click on the corresponding box). It is also possible to make logical searches with brackets and the operators 'and' and 'or'. Sample:
(tired and depressed) or (diarrhea and flatulence)
In search-window2 you can search for medicine with certain symptoms and cardinal symptoms. You can logically combine the words by 'and' and by 'or'. By clicking on Edit you can select symptoms and cardinal symptoms from a listbox (also by a right click on the textboxes).
Here you can adjust how the simile medicaments are searched for. <Fast> searches for exact matches and <slow> searches if one symptom contains each other.
Here you can adjust the language of the program. Attention! If you click on <New language> you have to enter all translations for this language! You can also edit the "RepetitLangSettings.XML"-file.
If you check this options there are shown in the symptoms-window only these symptoms, which fit to the selected medicaments. Together with "automatic selection" und der "automatic search" you can achieve a quite effective repertorisation.
If you selected another database, you can save this database as default.
Shows the program version and some information. This form is shown at startup the first time.
With this form you can send error messages to the author. Unfortunatele I didn't succeed in copying the message into the mail. You must paste the text into the mail from the clipboard by edit:paste or <ctrl>+v.
Shows this help file (with mono the help-file is opened in the browser).
The symptoms window is shown by clicking on windows:symptoms . All symptoms and cardinal symptoms are shown in a treeview. You can edit them and add new ones. You can copy symptoms by drag & drop to the medicine. If you switch on ask mode (query:ON), you can select symptoms and by pressing "query:search_selected_symptoms_AND" and "query:search_selected_symptoms_OR" you can make a query for the symptoms; the result is shown in the main window. "AND" means that all symptoms must match, "OR" means that one ore more symptoms must match. If you click on "query: search symptom" the search window is shown. More information you find below.
You can get this menu both by clicking on the "Edit"-window and by right-clicking on a node. You can add symptoms, delete symptoms, rename symptoms and refresh the treeview (only available after clicking on the database node)
If you click on query:ON checkboxes are shown left to the symptoms. You can select one or more symptoms and by pressing "query: search_selected_symptoms_AND" and "query: search_selected_symptoms_OR" you can make a query for the symptoms. The results are shown in the main-window. This behaviour can be automated by 2.2.2 Automatic selection and 2.2.4. Automatic query.
If you check "wide" or "narrow" then , if "query: ON" is checked and you select a symptom, only those symptoms are shown, which can be combined to a fitting medicine. "Wide" searches for medicaments, that have symptoms which contain the selected symptom as a substring. "Narrow" searches for medicaments that contain exactly this symptom.
Here you can select again between "wide" and "narrow" query. These settings modify the automatic query and the functions <Search selected symptoms_AND> and <Search selected symptoms_OR>. "Wide" searches for medicaments, which contain the selected symptoms as a substring. "Narrow" searches for medicaments , that contain exactly the selected symptom.
If you check "and" or "or" then the functions <Search selected symptoms_AND> or <Search selected symptoms_OR> are called automatically on selecting a symptom.
This search combines the selected symptoms with <and>. This means that only these medicaments are shown, that contain all selected symptoms. This search can be modified by "Query mode".
This search combines the selected symptoms with <or>. This means that these medicaments are shown, that contain one or more selected symptoms. This search can be modified by "Query mode".
Here you can search for symptoms and for cardinal symptoms. The search-words are combined with 'or'. The more words you enter, the more words are found. The results are shown in the symptoms-window with checkboxes. By checking the boxes and by pressing "query:search_selected_symptoms_AND" and "query:search_selected_symptoms_OR" you can make a query for the symptoms. The results are shown in the main window. By clicking on 'Edit' or by a right click on a textbox you can show a list with all symptoms or cardinal symptoms. The selected entry is copied into the textbox.
The first two functions have only historical grounds, they are no more necessary, but you can nevertheless use them to test the database.
Search & replace searches for sentences and replaces the with the second sentence. The routine checks wither a word is replaced by itself.
Attention, if you replace a word you must press on <search next> before you can replace the next word.
